Image Members are probably noticing a number of changes and additions to the site. Feel free to give me feedback. The Long Island Music Hall of Fame awards gala was an amazing event to attend and for me an honor to participate in. For my part I introduced Foghat drummer Roger Earl to present the induction award to the Stray Cats, I also introduced...

Phil Carson who signed Twisted Sister to Atlantic Records, who then inducted the boys into the hall and finally I introduced New Orleans native and Long Island brethren Randy Jackson of Zebra who inducted composer Gershwin. I enjoyed getting a rise from the audience as I updated the Mets game throughout the night. Hanging with the likes of Billy Joel, Twisted Sister, Peter Criss of Kiss, Zebra, Joan Jett, Vanilla Fudge, Mountain, is something I have been doing for years but to be with them all at the same time was mind-blowing. After 30 some odd years in the music industry it was no surprise how many people I knew on and off the stage. Every turn there was a handshake a high-five or a hug and lots of catching up. The food was great the set up was great and the hard work of all involved really paid off by bringing the dream of a Long Island Music Hall of Fame to the public’s attention. Outside of being a tremendously long night the evening was a well rounded success. Now I know your saying “ok Fingers how are you gonna thread motorcycles into this?” Easy the events Platinum sponsor was Lighthouse Harley-Davidson and one of the new Billy Joel 20th Century Cycles, a joint venture between the dealer and the singer was on display as you entered the beautiful Patchogue theater.
