ImageThe Short Scoots on Long Island television show is in editing as I type and I have to tell ya I can't wait to see the finished product. This website was originally assembled to just hold information about the show itself and has grown into...

this community serving portal. I am grateful to you for visiting as well as the people who contribute to the site. Chef Riggio puts up some fine recipes in the Bitchin Kitchen column and Joe and Dan supply insight with Two Guys on Two Wheels. Cooch at Adams & Cross has done a wonderful job taking what’s in my head and developing it on the site. I thank all of them and you equally. I propose a new option for you to participate. Member submitted content. Say you go to a great concert or heard a great new album. Turn us on to your comments. Know a great place to eat or party that is bike friendly let us know. Keep it simple or make it elaborate, it’s your call. Just send your stuff to me and I will put it up.

Here is a submission by transplanted Long Islander Zing who now lives in Florida. You can also so see Zings photo contributions in the new Media Gallery (log on required) in the Rest Area. There are a bunch of runs and events on the calendar and the Long Island Motorcycle fair is this Sunday. I will close with some great news the Ducati that was stolen last week was recovered. Thanks to all who helped especially Suffolk’s finest the SCPD.

Zing's Thing
On Saturday august 26th Space coast HD hosted the 4th annual Steven MIller Memorial Blues and Biker Bash. They had 17 blues band with Artimus Pyle and his band as the headliner for the night. All of the bands were excellent, and Artimus showed up and had the whole place jumping when he started to play because besiding playing some of Skynyd music he also played some of his own music.  The night was extra special because on this night there was three generations of Pyles playing the drums that night, you had besides Artimus you also had his son Chris and his grandson Cassidy on his own set of drums on the stage. They played on until the Palm Bay Police handed the band a personal note that they had went past the sound crewfew and was allowed to play one last song. Everyone that was there had a great time with all of the bands that played into the night even though during the day it had rained but you still had your diehard fans there.
