ImageOver the weekend I had a chance to ride Sunday morning too a gig in West Islip. I felt good to be out early with the sun and no rain in site. Later on that afternoon it was still nice out so my daughter and I went on one of my favorite short scoots up to...

the end of Harbor Beach road on the north shore. There are some great roads in the Miller place Sound beach area that wind down to the water with nice stops along the way. After some shell searching and some ice cream it was down to the Port for some candy and pizza. Even though I am a Brookhaven resident I opted to park in the street. I stopped into Port Jeff motorcycle and picked up a Ride Free Park free shirt. So with pizza and ice cream filled bellies and a couple of bags of candy we set for home. We got home around 5:30 and at 7:00 we jumped in the Kia and met up with my buddy Joey G and his family and went to the Mother Cabrini Italian Feast. Rides, games, cotton candy, sausage and peppers, laughs, funnel cake, fireworks and the babies busted lip (it’s not a party till somebody…) and all of the sudden it was midnight.  Ladyfingers had plans Monday to go shop with a friend so that meant no bike today. I loaded up the kids after breakfast and went to a matinee movie. We saw Barnyard Animals and just to prove what I always say you can find a little motorcycle in everyday. At one point the cows “borrow a couple of scoots from out front of a biker bar and tear up the road. It was a great surprise and a fun movie. I then came home to work on the website and blog and found yet again my neighborhood was without phone or internet. So you’re probably reading this a day or so late. Optimize my ass! In the wind, Fingers
