  • Cross Country 2005  ( 14 items )

The pages that follow are about my bike trip across country in the summer of 2005 this trip started with Ladyfingers annual family reunion which was held this year in Arkansas. I still don’t get the whole blog thing yet but for what its worth I will start at the beginning.

I shipped my bike, a 2001 FXDWG or Dyna Wide Glide; out to Orange County Harley-Davidson on July 5th to be there by the 19th.  Well Dyna arrived 5 days early, and the good folks over at OC HD assured me she was safe sound and welcome. The days couldn’t pass fast enough. Vacation was scheduled to start on the 20th and the ratings for the radio station were expected right before I would leave. Everything was going according to plan.

The plan: Fly out to Arkansas do the family thing,  fly out to California and DJ my friends Zach and Diane’s wedding,  and then ride Dyna back. I wanted to capture the whole thing on video, in pictures and blog for this site. My thinking was two fold, one, I am gonna talk about it on the air. If you are interested you can come get more, and not have to bore anyone with the particulars. The other reason was to lend some credibility to me as a rider... Hell, who wants to watch and be a part of a show hosted by a guy who doesn’t ride? The interesting thing is this trip started as a “because its there thing” and turned into a long haul to expose Short Scoots. Note: Any other pictures related to each day, are in the gallery in the "Road" folder.
