 Ya gotta eat!
After a ride its time to shake off the dust and settle down for a good meal and a refreshing drink. But we need to feel comfortable, a part of if you will. We need to feel at home and know our bikes are accepted and fairly safe. Short Scoots will guide you to the best road chow for all occasions and maybe even share a recipe or two. Members can submit locations as well as thier own recipes.

Tara's Inn in Port Jefferson, New York, has an Irish pub atmosphere. The games are usually on the tv's and there is a pool table and a couple games. This restaurant offers inexpensive, excellent food, including $10.00 1lb lobster (when available), soup, $1 burgers and a full diverse menu. The night we shot Biker Bistro Chef Kevin cooked up his Jambalia for us and man is it awesome. He was kind enough to share the recipe which i have included below. If you Cook take a shot at it if you want it right come on down to Tara's. Bob and Kenny are great hosts always looking for the next right thing to do for the customer. You will almost always see motorcycles out front. We are always welcome and its a great stop on the road that spills out on the harbor in beautiful Port Jefferson where you can catch the ferry to Conneticut for some helmet free riding.
