First things first. As you probably know the New Year's Day Cold Finger Run was postponed because of bad weather not once but twice. On the second attempt the weather in Nassau was better than Suffolk. But with strong winds and afternoon snow in Suffolk there was no way I was going to put the lives of my fellow riders at risk.
