Frankly I expected just another "bike week" with vendors and bars along with the TnA chrome and paint. Which of course is what it is but on a grander scale than others. I mean look at the line up of music playing throughout the Image

Fingers Pulse

Image Daytona Bike week is an event every cyclist should experience once because it makes for a great vacation and Florida offers some great roads to ride. Vacation is supposed to be about getting away from the everyday humdrum of life, escaping the mundane routines for adventure and abandon. In short, fuck work!
But when your job is music like mine, work is more of a lifestyle. On March 15th I celebrated 26 years at Long Islands #1 rock station WBAB, if you couple this with the 6 previous years of working for bands and spinning in clubs, it becomes safe to say music flows through my veins.
When I do a long road trip gobbling up hundreds of miles a day I embrace the sound of the wind and...

AMA Blood Drive
Blood Drive
Written by Keith Steele

ImageQueens, NY American Motorcyclists Association-District 34 will host a blood drive on Sunday, February 17, 2008, 10:30a.m.-4p.m. at Harley-Davidson/Buell® of NYC, 42-11 Northern Boulevard, Long Island City, NY 11101. You don’t need a bike to get here, riders are encouraged to bring a carload of friends to donate a pint of blood. It’s going to be a great time! The members of AMA D-34 and staff at Harley-Davidson of NYC are planning a winter blues-busting party with music by the Transplant Band, a bagel brunch buffet and raffles. Check out the 2005 motorcycles and riding gear. Big-hearted bikers and the surrounding community donated 50 pints last year, but the need is greater than ever. Blood supplies decrease in winter since fewer people donate. Your donation supports this community, where it is most likely lifesaving to help someone you know. The New York Blood Centers experienced professionals guarantee each donors comfort and safety; they'll even receive a gift. All adults are welcome, however, those with a tattoo less than one year old are not eligible to donate. Contact: The New York Blood Center 516-478-5105 or www.nybloodcenter.org.
