Contributing Writer - Two Guys on 2 Wheels

I was born in November of 1974 in Smithtown New York. Like we all say, I was born to ride. My first ride was on a 1975 Sportster at the ripe old age of 1 1/2. I was up on self-propelled two-wheels at an early age of about 3. From as far back as I can remember all I did was ride a bicycle or ride on the back of one of my Father’s bikes.
As I got older those two-wheeled devices I rode somehow became motorized, going from mini bikes to dirt bikes and motorcycles. I guess that’s what happens when you grow up having a Dad who rode. It has gone from my Mom yelling at me to come in and stop riding to my wife now yelling at me to stop riding. I guess some things will never change.
Today I ride a 1994 FXDWG and much like my passion for riding I have always had a passion for taking things apart and putting them back together. I get that from my dad too. My career is based on it, and my hobbies revolve around it.
I was the proud owner of my Dyna for no more that 2 months when I began to tear it down and change or rebuild something. Each timer I get it back together I find another reason to tear it apart. Fixing them and riding them is my way to meditate. It makes me feel good and melts away all the stresses. Funny enough I often feel like I did as a young boy, fixated on the weather just wondering when I can pull my bike out again.
